Chicago Public Schools' JROTC City Corps Staff Commander, Brandon Wilson spoke at the 2013 Pritzker Military Museum & Library Liberty Gala in Chicago on November 16, 2013.
The Museum & Library has supported the Chicago Public Schools' JROTC program over the last ten years in many different ways. Here, Wilson enlightens the Gala attendees on how the Pritzker Military Museum & Library has provided him resources over the years and was instrumental in helping him secure an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Wilson is a senior and the Cadet Commander at the Chicago Military Academy in Bronzeville. He is active in promoting leadership, scholarship and citizenship through his post and is responsible for more than 10,000 JROTC cadets who are enrolled in Chicago Public Schools.
Wilson has numerous honors and medals to his credit including the 2014 Democracy in Action Honoree at the Union League in Chicago and the Cadet of the Year award for 2014.
