A Vietnamese orphan scans the streets of Saigon. The downtown area of South Vietnam's capitol was rampant with homeless children who spent most of their time roaming the streets begging for money from U.S. soldiers or selling small paper cups of peanuts—GIs were warned to protect their watches and wallets when approached.
