Celebrating the PMML’s 20th Anniversary

In honor of our 20th anniversary, members and visitors can enjoy more at the Pritzker Military Museum and Library (PMML). We continue to include additional ways for a wide range of audiences to learn about our military, understand our democracy, and become more prepared to make decisions in the future.

Throughout 2023, we offered free events for families, educational programs, and exciting conversations with military guests. We hosted special events like the Violins of Hope exhibition and the interactive traveling exhibit, Tet and the Battle of Hue. We also debuted our newest exhibit The War of 1812: Countering Peril on the High Seas and at Home with a special VIP member event featuring guests from the British and Canadian Consulates. With our holiday programs, including the Holiday Cards for Our Troops initiative, there is something for everyone who visits the PMML.

From Our Humble Beginning to the Present

A New Look for the PMML Debuted

Earlier this year, to kick off our 20th anniversary, we revealed an evolved brand look with a new logo. The mark was designed with simplicity to reflect the PMML’s aim to connect with everyone, from long-time scholars to first-time explorers. One white star represents the bright light that shines through our military service members, past and present, as they continue to protect the way of life, we all cherish.

More Ways to Experience the PMML

Our newly built Pritzker Military Archives Center (PMAC) in Somers, Wisconsin, is being officially welcomed to the PMML family. The PMAC will complement the Museum & Library in Chicago to offer a full suite of experiences in military history, military affairs, and national security. Look out for the PMAC grand opening in early 2024.

Most importantly, we could not be who we are today without your support throughout these 20 years -

Thank you.

As always, we look forward to you visiting the PMML.
